How does the Bottle Return Program work?
Once you enroll, we deliver a designated bottle collection crate to your workplace. Your team drops empties into the crate. On every scheduled delivery, our driver picks up the full crate and leaves a clean one in its place. We count and recycle the returns on your behalf.
Which products are eligible?
All glass milk bottles delivered by Milkbottle, plus most rigid plastic dairy containers and standard beverage bottles supplied through your account. Specialty items (e.g. wax-coated cartons, tetra packs) follow regular recycling — your account specialist will confirm the eligible list at enrollment.
How often are bottles collected?
On every scheduled delivery — whether that's weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. There are no separate collection trips and no extra coordination required from your team.
Do I need to sort or rinse the bottles?
A quick rinse helps prevent odour, but no sorting is required. Just drop empties into the collection crate as they're finished and we handle the rest.
Is there an additional fee for the program?
No. Enrollment is included with your Milkbottle business account, and we waive bottle deposit charges on eligible products in exchange. Your invoice gets simpler, not more expensive.
What happens if bottles are damaged or missing?
Normal breakage and missing bottles happen — we don't charge enrolled accounts for reasonable loss. If a full crate ever goes missing or is significantly damaged, your account specialist will work with you on a no-fault replacement.
Can we cancel or pause enrollment?
Yes, anytime, with no penalty. If you cancel, standard bottle deposit pricing resumes on your next delivery and we collect the crate on a final pickup.
